Sources
For rules, statistics and procedures we check who published it and when, and point to the original.
Fact and analysis
We keep published fact, the writer's own analysis, and assumptions made for explanation apart.
Figures and estimates
We state the period, the base, the unit and the assumptions. An estimate made to explain something is never presented as a result.
Updates
The date the article was updated and the date the information itself refers to are shown separately.
Corrections
Where we correct something that matters, we record the passage and what changed.
Our paid work
Cases from elsewhere written up in an article are kept distinct from work we were paid to do.
Images and figures
Photographs, quoted material, explanatory diagrams, generated images and illustrative samples are each labelled as such.
